VTB & COVID 19
At VanEnkevort Tug & Barge, Inc. Health and Safety is of utmost importance. VTB has monitored and continues to monitor and evaluate the ever-changing environment with regards to COVID-19. We have worked closely with the US Coast Guard, our customers, and our staff to enforce and ensure that we are taking the highest measures possible to keep everyone safe and contain the spread of the coronavirus. VTB has put into place a range of measures to protect our customers and team plus contribute to the containment of COVID-19.
A few COVID-19 prevention measures VTB implemented are below:
Pre-screening of crew-members before dispatching to vessels
Daily symptom evaluations with temperature checks of all crew and staff
Before boarding a vessel everyone must be screened
Travel restrictions and work-from-home arrangements whenever possible
Enhanced cleaning requirements on board vessels
Adherence to social distancing in operations and offices
Protective equipment issued to crew and office staff
Frequent hand washing or hand sanitizing with hand sanitizer stations
